Don't Put off Today.......

By Edward Rees in Edward Rees on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 @ 13:15

Life is full of the unexpected and I am currently a victim of a cruel quirk of fate.  Early one morning, having just remembered that I forgot to put out the wheelie bin for the fortnightly rubbish collection, I raced outside barefoot to catch the approaching bin men.  Fortunately for the neighbours, although barefoot, I was otherwise fully clothed.

All went well as the bin men emptied out the overflowing contents of the wheelie bin into the back of their lorry until, in haste, I managed to run the bin straight over the little toe on my right foot.

Two weeks later I am still limping and thinking that, if my foot does not stop throbbing, I will have no choice but to get it X-Ray’d!  I mention all this not for sympathy but as a cautionary tale: it’s best to sort out all the little things we tend to brush under the carpet before they stop us in our tracks.  Not necessarily literally – our carpets are pristine!  But I suppose I am saying do not put off today what you think you can do tomorrow...
