Pensioners Coffee Morning Axed
By Christine Mould in Health & Safety on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 @ 10:47
Conscientious health & safety officers have axed a pensioners coffee morning at a library in Eye, near Peterborough. This coffee morning aimed at the over 50’s has been held every Tuesday for the last four years with no incidents, however it has been axed due to safety fears as children from the local nursery also use the library.
Is this health & safety gone mad and what crazy restrictions are they going to apply next. The words common and sense spring to mind!

Is it the children that are a threat or the pensioners? And surely just being over 50 doesnt make you a pensioner!
