Agricultural Shows Update

Strawberries, cream and a variety of drink including cava, beer and wine packed, not forgetting our amazing Hoopla game, we recently set off for a couple of the agricultural shows we attend annually; ready to entertain and chat with current and potential customers, together with their families.

We managed to draw in the viewing public due to our marquee being close to the arenas at both shows. We were able to create a great deal of attention with Hoopla, and the game generated hundreds of entries with people trying to get hoops over one or two of our signature teddy bears.

The prizes to be won in a draw at each of the two shows were:

Oswestry Show

1st - Chester Zoo Family Ticket
2nd - Park Hall Family Ticket
3rd - £30 National Trust Voucher

Burwarton Show

1st - West Midlands Safari Park Family Ticket
2nd - Ray’s Farm Family Ticket
3rd - Acton Scott Working Farm Family Ticket

It was lovely to see families and people of all ages having fun taking part, and really creating a great atmosphere around the marquee. With small prizes to give away such as our little LB bears, bookmarks, pens & pencils or tasty Lanyon Bowdler biscuits (which were soon gone), we managed to create a lot of attention and a positive profile.

These are ideal events Lanyon Bowdler likes to take part in as they present the perfect opportunity to mix pleasure with work.

I would like to thank all those from Lanyon Bowdler who came along to help and I am particularly grateful to our three work experience students, Sam Poyner, pictured below, Will Spanner and Victoria Wall, who managed the very busy Hoopla game at both shows.
