Personal injury specialist

I work predominantly for claimants in complex/catastrophic injuries and specialise in serious accidents at work involving health and safety issues, falls from heights on construction sites; particularly those involving head injuries, spinal injuries, fatal accidents and amputation claims. I also represent clients in industrial disease cases such as asbestosis, vibration white finger and industrial asthma. In addition to this I have undertaken cases relating to stress at work and post-traumatic stress disorder. I am experienced in dealing with heavy weight cases exceeding £100,000 and have worked on substantive million pound plus cases.

I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), Law Society Panel of Personal Injury Solicitors and Headway – the Brain Injury Association and an active member of the Association of Spinal Injuries (SIA).

My enthusiasm and commitment to obtaining rehabilitation and setting up a good team of specialist experts for the client maximises both recovery and damages. I am committed to using mediation, as an alternative in dispute resolution, following a recent settlement of a number of complex cases.

Qualifications

Prior to joining Lanyon Bowdler in 1997, I obtained a law degree with honours at the University of Birmingham before attending the College of Law at Guildford. I started working in general practice in 1988, thereafter have specialised in only personal injury cases from 1992.

Testimonial

Mrs J Jones, Telford; “Dawn is committed to providing more than simple legal action not only progressing the claim as swiftly as possibly and obtaining early interim payments (money in advance of a final settlement) but also obtaining full compensation losses including for all rehabilitation, housing, care accommodation, case management support and most importantly to move on with your life with the goals, objectives and choices that you want to pursue”.
