'Downton Abbey' Run in Aid of Parkinson's UK

On 28 April I completed a 10k run around the grounds of Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey!) in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

I had trained on and off for about 6 weeks before the event, usually running on the treadmill for 30 minutes a couple of times a week, and then doing various outdoor runs across the Granville in Telford.

The actual run was a much trickier track than I anticipated – much of it being uphill!  I completed it in 1 hour 7 minutes.  My Dad and his partner joined me, and in total I alone raised in the region of £200.00 for charity.

Hundreds of people took part in the event, which made for a fantastic atmosphere on the day.
