Family Feast – How David Beat Goliath

It was a fight with epic proportions when a small takeaway in Angus won its battle against takeaway giant KFC.  This battle was over the term “Family Feast”.

Lawyers from the global fast food chain warned The Titanic Pizza Company in Angus to discontinue use of the name to describe one of its meals because it was trademarked.

The Titanic Pizza Company responded to this threat by stating that they refused to be bullied by a global conglomerate and insisted that they had used the term “Family Feast” since 1992, two years before KFC trademarked the same.

KFC have now back tracked and have assured Titanic that this matter will not be taken any further.

While KFC walk away embarrassed, with negative publicity the Titanic Pizza Company have seen their takings increase.
