Jubilee Spirit with English Tea Parties Galore Next Thursday!

Our Charity Committee has decided to start the new financial year off with a bang by holding a Diamond Jubilee themed dress down day, complete with English tea parties….bring on the bunting!

Each year Lanyon Bowdler chooses several small, local charities to support, and then fundraises throughout the year, with events such as dress down days and cake bakes.

Next Thursday 31 May, each of our six offices will be dressing down in red, white and blue, and fully entering into the spirit of the Diamond Jubilee by decorating their desks and departments with bunting, streamers and photos of the Queen. Staff will also be putting their culinary skills to the test by baking jubilee-themed cakes, and holding stylish English tea parties complete with tea, cucumber sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, some home made damson jam and not forgetting the Pimms!

In particular, I hear that our Oswestry office will taking the fundraising activities a notch further with several people dressing up as members of the Royal family, whilst some of the partners are going to brave the stocks and have agreed to be pelted with wet sponges – all for a donation of course!

Photos from the day will follow and it is bound to be a colourful event!
