Looking Forward to the Summer Shows

Summer brings with it numerous excellent shows and events in Shropshire, and the marketing department has been busy preparing for Lanyon Bowdler’s involvement in three of the major events in the county.

On Thursday 4 August we will be at the Burwarton Show, one of the leading agricultural events in the country and always a thoroughly enjoyable day.  We have a marquee and provide hot and cold drinks, serve delicious locally made cakes, and have Lanyon Bowdler lawyers on hand to answer any legal queries visitors may have. In addition, we will be holding a 'Guess the Number of Lanyon Bowdler Bears' competition, which will involve a batch of our popular bears being hidden away in a crate full of straw, with prizes for the first correct entries drawn.   A new form of entertainment at the show this year will be the the 'Bridgnorth Scarecrow Trail' competition (in aid of cancer Research UK and The Stroke Association) which we have entered as it is for two very worthy causes and also sounds like a lot of fun!

On Saturday 6 August we head to the Oswestry Showground for the Oswestry Show, now in its 126th year, and again we will be providing refreshments, and representatives from our Oswestry office on Church Street will be available to chat and offer assistance with any legal queries.  We'll also be running the 'Guess the Number of Lanyon Bowdler Bears' competition again with further prizes on offer.

Finally, on 12 and 13 August we will be at the Shrewsbury Flower Show with our seaside theme show garden entry!  The garden has been created for Severndale Specialist School, one of our chosen charities for this year, and we are extremely fortunate to have had award winning garden designer Mike Russell on board with us again. Mike is very talented and always brings unique and inventive designs to the table. We really are on countdown to the show now, and it has been a lot of hard work and organisation,  but we have all of our main features ready to go including the most amazing copper fish water feature - made by incredibly talented local craftsman Richard Taylor.  The fish is designed to rock when the water flows through it and we are hoping it will draw the crowds!
