Ludlow Turns Out For Olympic Torch Relay

Well, what an exciting day for Ludlow! The sun was shining, the temperatures soaring and some of us from the Ludlow office shared a once in a lifetime and quite emotional moment.

We stationed ourselves on Henley Road where the relay finished before moving on to Clee Hill.  I think the whole of Ludlow turned out for this.  All the Union Flags were flying and the bunting was ready for the Jubilee celebrations.  All the schoolchildren had made their own hats and Olympic medals and the excitement was incredible.

Children were having their photographs taken with the police outriders and they were all blowing whistles and cheering.

These are wonderful memories of a historical day we will all take with us for the rest of our lives.
