Megan Baker House

On 16 August 2015 I attended the Megan Baker House Day to Tantalise Your Senses held at the beautiful Bank House Hotel and Spa in Worcester.

Accompanied by my young work experience pupil Archie Auger, I took a stand along to the event, but I was really going along to enjoy the various exhibitors and events of the day.

Not only were we treated to a fashion show, but throughout the day we were given demonstrations from yoga to self defence as well as tips from an extremely well presented personal stylist who made it look so easy.

Henna Tattoo

Archie was even able to get a beautiful red henna tattoo on his arm from the lovely exhibitor Jasmine from Lavish, opposite us.

Tango & Massages

The tango demonstration just made me long for the next series of Strictly, with visions of doing an Argentine Tango with Pasha.

All put together by the unstoppable Dawn Harford of Cecily’s Beauty Salon in Malvern who were providing tasters of treatment including the wonderful head neck and shoulder massage which I had.

Megan Baker House

The event was organised in aid of Megan Baker House, a local Charity, based near Leominster, Herefordshire, offering free conductive education sessions by trained professionals to children and adults with special educational needs and neurological motor disorders including cerebral palsy, head injury, stroke, developmental co-ordination delay and Parkinson’s disease. http://www.meganbakerhouse.org.uk/page/conductive_education/

Megan Baker House also provides support to families and carers through advice and information, referrals, befriending and mentoring.

It was a wonderful day packed with everything to tempt your senses. I certainty hope they will do it again next year.

Megan Baker House relies on charity donations and are currently aiming to raise £10,000.00 for an additional pre-primary class, in order to be able to expand the number of children they can help.
