Oswestry Staff Give Support to Local School Careers Convention

On 17 November 2010, myself and colleagues Meinir Jones, Anna Burgess plus partners Alan Gittins and Emma Wilde from the Oswestry office continued to show support to a local high school by exhibiting again at Llanfyllin High School careers convention. Of the five of us who attended, three were ex-pupils - although times had changed somewhat as Sky News is now shown in the canteen during lunchtime to inform the pupils of current affairs!

Armed with goodies such as pencils, pens, sweets and the popular Lanyon Bowdler teddy bears, staff from the Private Client, Matrimonial, Commercial, Agricultural and Conveyancing departments provided information to hundreds of pupils potentially considering a career in the legal profession, including guidance on the various routes into the profession and an insight into the day to day life of a solicitor in an established local firm.

The feedback for the event from both staff and pupils was very positive and our presence requested again next year!
