Show Garden is Being Built at Severndale Specialist School

The stunning seaside garden that wowed the crowds at Shrewsbury Flower Show is now being recreated at Severndale Specialist School. When the students return from their summer holidays they will be greeted with quite a different view.  Below is a photograph of the space beforehand.

Space at Severndale

A big thank you to Synthetic Turf Management who were on site immediately after the show in order to lay the creative colourful flooring.  Fish and sea creatures, designed by the students and cleverly created by Paul – DT Technician at Severndale, swim happily amongst the waves.

Sea Floor

The surf shack is a perfect fit, and it is proposed that a programme of planting be introduced, so that the students can see the roof of the shack ‘grow’.

The sea worn timbers, rescued from the beach at Borth, add to the seaside feel and will hold an array of coastal plants and grasses.

Construction taking place

It is anticipated the garden will be complete within the next few days, and therefore this post will be updated in due course.
