The Value of Expertise

We like the story of an engineer who worked for an electricity company about a century ago.  He knew every detail of each part of all the machines in the factory.  But when he retired, his former colleagues were at a complete loss as to what to do when one of the machines went wrong.  And so one day they had to invite him back out of retirement to fix a machine.  He looked at the machine for about five minutes, took out a piece of chalk, marked an “x” on the defective part, told them to replace it, and then went home.  A few days later the company received a bill for £10,000 for those five minutes’ work.  The shocked company asked him to itemise it, and so he sent them back an invoice with two items:  “Making a chalk mark….£1.  Knowing where to put it….£9,999.”

Where do you go when your life breaks down because you, or a member of your family, have suffered serious injuries as a result of an accident? When you face the loss of a job because you cannot work, and maybe the prospect of losing your house because you can no longer afford to pay the mortgage?  Or your marriage is put under strain as a result of the on-going effects of your injury?  Who or where do you go to?

We believe that Lanyon Bowdler has the answer.  At Lanyon Bowdler we understand and are experienced in dealing with these types of problems, and others, which often arise as a result of serious injuries sustained in accidents.  Our personal injury team has considerable expertise in handling substantial claims for compensation for brain injuries, spinal injuries, complicated fractures, and other types of serious injuries.  And we not only have the expertise to ensure you ultimately receive the right level of compensation for your claim, but we will also be able to advise and help you concerning any other related problems you may face along the way, including those we have already mentioned.

Not all firms of solicitors can offer the same level of expertise as Lanyon Bowdler for serious personal injury claims, often resulting in clients not receiving an appropriate amount of compensation or, worse still, no compensation at all.  If you have sustained serious injuries as a result of an accident it is always worth consulting a specialist.
